We are hiring a range of positions including a full-time, year-round, camp manager. We are looking for staff who will help us create life-impacting experiences that enable people to know Jesus Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.

CAMP MANAGER

If you have the heart of a youth pastor, the mind of an administrator, and the knowledge of facilities management then you could be our next Camp Manager.

The essentials of the position include managing the budget, ensuring a high quality of hospitality to our guests, identifying and coordinating daily activities, spiritually discipling the camp staff, and being a positive role model to staff and our guests.

Job Description

  • Manages the camp operations (May-Oct.)
  • Carries out objectives between November and April.
  • Prepares for the following season, improving upon or implementing new efforts in serving our guests, and continually improving the camp experience.
  • The Camp Manager is supervised by the Executive Director.
  • In addition to serving camp guests, the Camp Manager is the primary leader in ministering to our camp staff through modeling their walk with Christ, leading daily devotionals and weekly bible studies.
  • The Camp Manager will also assist the Executive Director with building relationships with guest groups, donors, and the church community at large.

CAMP CHEF | FOOD MANAGER

If you're a whiz in the kitchen like an executive chef, have the knack for managing food like a pro, and carry a ministry leader's heart, ready to lead a team of young kitchen staff in a fast-paced and spiritually uplifting environment, you might just be the right fit for our Executive Chef/Food Manager position.

Job Description

This position is responsible for all aspects of food services including meal planning, meal costing, ordering, inventory management, and overseeing food preparation and service, ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen.

Executive Chef will be overseeing a Kitchen Team staff of High School and College age workers. They must be able to communicate effectively with staff who may not have a lot of kitchen experience. It is very much a teaching/coaching position.

This is a ministry lead position and the successful candidate must strive to model Christ's example of servant leadership and be committed to the discipleship of other staff and campers throughout the ministry.
The Executive Chef and Kitchen Team are usually the first up in the mornings and the last ones off duty in the evenings.

The successful candidate must be able to think on their feet and be able to work well in a fast paced and stressful environment, while leading their team to meet deadlines.

Priority consideration will be given to applicants with at least 3 years of experience working in camp or a commercial food preparation environment, with ServSafe or equivalent training. ServSafe or equivalent certification must be obtained before start of the season.

SUMMER STAFF

PAY: Starting at $450.75/week (plus meals and lodging)
HOUSING: Live On-Site

A smaller number of employees can work through October depending on dates booked by camp groups.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Contractor Volunteer

This position is ideal for a retired contractor who wants to serve the Lord by using their construction knowledge to oversee and teach a team of summer workers to maintain and improve the Sequoia Meadow campus.

Tasks will vary greatly but may include:

  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Painting
  • Construction - both new and remodel
  • Operation of Backhoe

This is non-paid position; however Sequoia Meadow will provide full hookups for an RV as well as 3 meals a day while camps are operating.

The work schedule will be coordinated with the Camp Manager and will have flexibility.

This is a ministry lead position and the successful candidate must strive to model Christ’s example of servant leadership and be committed to the discipleship ofother staff and campers throughout the ministry.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to be able to serve the Lord, in a Christian camp environment, as well as pass down their knowledge to the next generation.
